December 2, 2005- Person Arrested for Criminal Trespass
  Officers from the Task Force were in the area of 57-61 Ravine Ave due to numerous complaints of drug activity and persons trespassing in the building. While in the area they observed a person who was trespassing. A check showed that the suspect had an active warrant for Possession of a weapon. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass and the warrant was executed.


December 2, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Weapon
  Officers from the Task Force while on patrol in the area of Summit Street observed a male breaking into a parked vehicle with a crow bar. When officers attempted to apprehend the suspect he fled. Officers pursued the suspect and placed him into custody a short distance away. The suspect resisted arrested and assaulted two officers. The suspect was in possession of crack cocaine and a switchblade knife. The suspect was charged with Assault 2nd degree (2 counts), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Possession of Burglary Tools.


November 26, 2005- 2 Persons Arrested for Sale and Possession of Crack Cocaine
  Officers from the Task Force while on patrol in the area of 54 Linden St observed the below listed suspects involved in a drug deal. When the officers attempted to arrest the suspects they fled. One of the suspects fled into a vacant apartment and was placed into custody. The other suspect was arrested a short distance away. When the officers checked the vacant apartment they located approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana and a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun. Also located was 42 rounds of ammo for the handgun and U.S. currency. An investigation revealed the handgun was stolen from a Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty in Norfolk, Va.


November 12, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine
  Officers from the Task Force while on patrol in the area of 96 Elliott Ave observed the below listed suspect trespassing in the building. When the officers attempted to arrest the suspect he fled. A pursuit ensued which resulted in the suspect being placed under arrest and a police officer was injured. Crack cocaine was recovered from the suspect who also broke into an apartment while he was running from the police. The suspect was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Burglary 3rd degree, Assault 2nd degree, Criminal Trespass and Resisting Arrest.


October 18, 2005- Person Arrested for Firing Gun
  Officers from the Task Force while on patrol in the area of 45-51 Post Street observed a group of persons huddled together. When the officers approached the group the below listed suspect threw a handgun to the ground. One round from the gun was discharged when it hit the ground which resulted in no injuries. The suspect was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Reckless Endangerment 1st degree. The weapon, a loaded .22 cal handgun was recovered at the scene.


October 6, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Loaded Handgun
  Officers from the Task Force were on patrol in the area of Woodworth Ave and Glenwood Ave due to numerous complaints of drug activity. The Officers observed a large group of disorderlies and smelled a strong order of marijuana. When the Officers investigated a male was located in possession of a loaded .38 cal handgun. The suspect was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th degree.


October 5, 2005- Person Arrested for Murder
  Officers from the Task Force responded to the area of 2 Spruce Street on a report of shots fired with a man struck in the head. Investigation at the scene revealed that the below listed suspect was wanted in connection with the shooting. Task Force Officers along with Officers from the Anti-Crime Unit located the suspect and turned him over to detectives. The suspect was charged with Murder 2nd degree.


September 28, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Weapon
  Officers from the Task Force were in the vicinity of Radford St and So Broadway when they observed a male commit a City Ordinance Violation. Upon further inspection the male was found to be in possession of a 4 inch two bladed knife and marijuana. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Unlawfully Possession of Marijuana.


September 23, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Loaded Handgun
  Officers from the Anti-Crime Unit and the Task Force were in the area of 66 Alexander Street where the officers approached a male who was drinking in public. When the officers asked for I.D. the male reached into his pocket and refused to remove his hand. When the officers checked the males pocket in contain a loaded 22 cal. handgun. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree.


September 21, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Weapon
  Officers from the Task Force were in the area of 53 Jackson Street where a large group of persons had gathered. One of the persons at the scene was in possession of a gravity knife. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.


July 20, 2005- Two Persons Arrested for Robbery
  Officers from the Third Precinct while on patrol in the area of South Broadway and Highland Ave were flagged down by a victim who had just been robbed. A cell phone was stolen from the victim at gunpoint. Officers were able to apprehend both suspects and recovered the stolen cell phone a two loaded handguns from the suspects.


April 10, 2005- Person Arrested for Murder
  Officers from the Third Precinct responded to a location on Cliff Ave on the report of shots fired and a man down. At the scene officers located a male victim who had been shot. A witness gave a description of the suspect and officers located him in a building on Riverdale Ave. A .380 cal handgun and magazine were recovered. The suspect was charged with Murder 2nd degree.


April 7, 2005- Person Arrested for Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property
  Officers from the Third Precinct while on patrol were flagged down by a victim of a robbery. The victim stated he was just robbed of his bicycle by a male who attempted to hit him with a metal rod. The suspect fled on the stolen bicycle northbound on South Broadway. Officers were able to locate the suspect and stolen bicycle a short time later. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery 1st degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree and Resisting Arrest.


April 2, 2005- 2 Youths Arrested for Robbery
  Officers from the Fourth Precinct while on patrol observed a group of males chasing two males. The males were questioned and upon further investigation it was learned that a male victim had been robbed on Locust Hill Ave by three male youths. Two of the suspects were located, arrested and charged with Robbery 2nd degree.


April 2, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of a Weapon
  Officers from the Housing Unit and 4th Precinct responded to the area of Schroeder Street to canvass the area for a possible suspect regarding a past incident. The officers attempted to question a male subject when he fled from the officers on foot. The officers were able to apprehend the subject, who was armed with a loaded 9mm handgun. The suspect was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Resisting Arrest.


February 20, 2005- 3 Youths Arrested for Burglary at 100 Caryl Ave
  Officers from the Third Precinct responded to 100 Caryl Ave on a possible entry into the fire damaged building. While searching the location the officers located three suspects inside with stolen property. All suspects were placed into custody and the property was recovered. The suspects were charged with Burglary 3rd degree.


February 16, 2005- Person Arrested for Robbery
  Officers from the Anti-Crime Unit while on patrol in the area of Elm St observed a male running with a gold chain in his hand. The male was followed while other officers located a victim of a robbery. The suspect was apprehended and the gold chain was recovered. The suspect were charged with Robbery 2nd degree.


February 10, 2005- 2 Persons Arrested for Robbery
  Officers from the Anti-Crime Unit, Special Investigations Unit and Third Police Precinct team up to locate and arrest two suspects wanted for a robbery. The victim went to a store located on the corner of Linden St / Elm St. when one of the suspects, with the assistance of the other suspect, stole her money and fled. Members of the three different units located the suspects and placed them under arrest. Both suspects were charged with Robbery 2nd degree.


February 10, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of Weapon and Drugs
  Officers from the Anti-Crime Unit responded to the third floor of 47 Riverdale Ave to address numerous complaints from residents regarding males selling drugs. Two males were located at that location when one of the males fled the scene on foot. Officers pursued the suspect and were able to placed him under arrest after a violent struggle. A loaded 25 cal. handgun and numerous pieces of crack cocaine were recovered from the suspect.


January 31, 2005- 2 Persons Arrested for Burglary and Poss of Stolen Property
  Officers from the Housing Unit responded to a commercial establishment on North Broadway on the report of a burglary. When the officers arrived at the scene they observed a male fleeing the scene. The suspect was in possession of stolen property from the business on North Broadway. A second suspect was located by additional housing officers, who had responded to the scene. Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged was Burglary, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Criminal Mischief.


January 29, 2005- Youth Arrested for Attempted Robbery and Assault
  Officers from the Third Precinct responded to a report of a past assault. At the scene officers spoke to an off-duty NYPD officer. The officer had observed an assault and detained the suspect. The suspect, a 14 year youth, was arrested by Yonkers Police and charged with attempted Robbery 1st degree and Assault 2nd degree. THe suspect had struck the victim in the back of the head with a weapon. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a head injury.


January 21, 2005- Person Arrested for Grand larceny and Possession of Stolen Property
  Officers from the Third Precinct responded to the area of Ash St. / Linden St. on the report of a vehicle which was just stolen. Officers observed the vehicle proceeding on Oak St and followed it to 122 Nepperhan Ave. The suspect attempted to leave the scene but was detained by the officers. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree and Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree.


January 14, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property
  Officers from the First Precinct responded to a residence on Bushey Ave on the report of a burglary in progress. Upon investigation the officers located a suspect driving a stolen vehicle. Property from the residence was located in the stolen vehicle. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Possession of stolen Property. (2 counts)


January 11, 2005- Person Arrested for Possession of Marijuana
  Officers from the Second Precinct while patrolling Redmond Field observed 2 persons in the park after dark. The below listed suspect was in possession of marijuana and was arressted.


January 4, 2005- Person Arrested for Gambling and Possession of Marijuana
  Officers from the Third Precinct while on foot patrol in the area of Elm St. and Oak St did observe males gambling. When the officers investigated, one male fled on foot to an unknown location. One suspect was arrested at scene and charged with Promoting Gambling 2nd degree, Loitering and Unlawfully Possession of Marijuana (14 bags).


January 1, 2005- 3 Persons Arrested for Marijuana Possession in Redmond Field
  Officers from the Second Precinct while patrolling Redmond Field, observed 3 persons in the park after dark. When the officers investigated, 29 bags of marijuana and a portable scale, were located in the suspects vehicle. All three suspects were arrested and their vehicle was impounded.


January 1, 2005- 2 Persons Arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana
  Officers from the Fourth Precinct while patrolling the hallways of 354 Nepperhan Ave observed the below listed suspects in possession of marijuana. Upon seeing the officers both suspects attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended.
